Revolutionary ProHold® Socket Bits

Inch and metric bits, in two and six inch lengths, are available in a variety of sets covering sizes from 5/32″ to 5/8″ and 4mm to 17mm. ProHold® Socket bits are half the cost of traditional socket bits because the tool user can simply insert them into their existing six point sockets. Bondhus’ ProHold® Socket Bits stay securely in place when pushed into a six point socket, due to two patented buttons on the socket-end of each bit. Bondhus’ exclusive Protanium® steel makes each bit up to 20% stronger than competitor tools. All ProHold® Socket bits carry the Bondhus lifetime warranty and feature Bondhus’ proprietary offers five times more corrosion protection when compared to competitor finishes.

Folding Tool Set for Advanced Weapon System

Bondhus Corp. recently designed a tool for use by the US Marine Corps. The Bondhus design team worked closely with the Marines to develop a tool to be used with their new M39 rifles. In the past, troops had to improvise tools to do this work, which often resulted in damage to the weapon.

The Marine Corps’ needs posed some difficult challenges for the Bondhus team. The tool design needed to include a socket, box wrench, two stepped reamer, screw holding hex keys and a screwdriver. Bondhus was not only able to meet the design challenges, but also delivered the product in less than 6 weeks from the order date!

Garland at Work!

Garland’s 15367 plastic mallet with 36″ handle is used to knock off ice buildup on vessels such as the RV Knoff, a Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute research vessel as well as docks, piers and shipping locks. A real danger of working at sea in winter conditions is freezing water spray. Given sufficiently cold temperatures, the spray becomes a threat to any vessel as it freezes on contact and grows in size and weight with blowing spray from each new crashing wave. In most severe cases, the ship’s stability is compromised. The only option is to manually knock the ice off the ship.

Bondhus - The “Go To” Company for NASA

Bondhus Corporation is once again working with a NASA contractor on a tool for a critical repair in space. In 2005, astronauts used a Bondhus Stubby tool on a repair to the International Space Station. Now Bondhus ProHold tip tools are being tested for a repair mission to the Hubble Space Telescope.
